I have a 1997 Taco Ext Cab that got into a little fender bender. The fenders, hood and grille need to be replaced. I want to put the 1999 4runner front end with cowl hood and composite headlights instead of sealed beams. Any help would be much appreciated.

I did the exact opposite of what you want. I put a 01-04 Taco front clip on my 98 Limited 4runner. Here's what you need.

Sport hood 99-02
Hood brackets 96-02
L/R fenders 96-02
Radiator support 96-02
Marker lamps 99-02
Headlights 99-02

Great job on your conversion. Someone who doesn't know Toyotas would never know that it did not come that way. Looks factory to me.

Thanks. I think they should of made it's that way as well. I always liked the face of the 01-04 tacos and disliked the prices of the double cab. Nothing like having a real truck with a bed. Just throw it's in and jump in your cab. In the future! I actually was looking for a fixer upper Taco to do the runner/taco swap. Like being different than other trucks.
