'97 Fuel Filter Location?

I'm wanting to replace my fuel filter on my new '97 4runner, and I was wondering if it's in the same location as my '98? If so, I've got the manual for it, and it won't be hard. But, if not, then I need to know where it's located and where I should get the filter? Should I get a Toyota filter or an aftermarket that's better than stock? Thanks for the the help,

Chris

My 96 is right under the drivers side seat, up in the frame. You cant miss it.

For the mods you have, I would consider going with an aftermarket filter. K&N makes them. You may want to call Wallbro and get their recommendation.

Do you know if the K&N fuel filters are good, but let particles through that aren't supposed to like their air filters?

I just checked K&N's website and they don't indicate that they make one for the 4runners? Any other ideas?

You aren't kidding! How to decide is the problem with their site. I don't know how to determine if they'll work or not for my '97.
