Question '91 4Runner Rear Sag

Hello,

I have a '91 Toyota 4Runner that I purchased approximately two years ago and I see it with an enormous amount of 4Runners around town. The rear end of the vehicle sags down, as if the shocks or springs or blown. Is this a common problem with the factory shocks or springs or is it just how the 4Runner was made during this time period. I have not had a chance to start upgrading my truck yet, but I'm getting ready to. The first thing I need to know, though, is whether this is simply replacing the shocks and springs or if it is installing a lift kit. Thanks.

Sincerely,
Scott Dennison

From what I understand, the 4 Runners were made using the same springs as the Pick Ups. That's why they sag. Just changing the springs will correct this...

I suggest you look under a pickup and then look under your 4Runner.

There's a tiny difference.

Shock have nothing to do with the ride height.

https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/4runner_faq.htm . Also try a search since this is a common question.
