90,000 service 2002 Sport (Advice or Recommendations)

I have talked to the dealership after they sent me a coupon for a $150 Timing Belt change. I though it was a great deal until i did a little research and found out that it would cost over 2 grand.... thanks but no thanks.
I am getting close to the 90,000 mile service and here is what i plan to change or replace.

Replace engine oil and oil filter
Replace engine air filter
Replace engine coolant
Lubricate propeller shaft (4WD)
Replace non-platinum spark plugs 3
Replace timing belt
Water Pump
Re-torque propeller shaft bolt
I am going to replace all fluids- T-cae, diffs ect

I plan on going back with all Toyota parts. Have you guys saved any money by getting parts from the YT'ers that work at the dealerships? I have searched and found threads talking about the service itself but i want to know if there is anything else you guys might also do in addition to the list.

I am also looking into the tundra brake upgrade... I tow a bass boat on occasion and i would love to have a little more braking power.

So are you doing this yourself? I'm at 77k right now, and not looking forward to doing this (timing belt only. Everything else is pretty simple). Did the Toyota dealership say that you HAVE to do the entire 90k service in order to use that $150 timing belt coupon?

Good luck with the repairs. I'm not sure about where to get good cheap OEM parts, but I usually just get them from the local dealership and can usually get the parts guy to give me a 10% discount.

I am going to let my local mechanic do the belt, water pump, and plugs. I will do everything else. If i supply the parts it will cost 400 dollars.... far better than the dealership

I just ordered all those parts from one of the TX dealerships on this board (check vendor section). Parts down there are a ton cheaper than anything you get in Colorado. Then I just had the dealership install all of them for me... I don't have the tools nor the time to do it... nor the knowledge

What was $2k by the way? Just installing the timing belt?

They had a deal for the belt (150 dollars)... everything else was the rest of the price quote.

dont forget to replace the thermostat too while you are at it!! its like 15$ and will save some trouble down the road from overheating!!! other than that and the drive belts i think you have it covered.. maybe the PCV valve also. i am at 93k miles now and i still have to do the 90k mile service but this is all i am going to have done to it bc i have done the rest earlier

1.replace Tbelt
2. replace drive belts
3. replace water pump and thermostat
4. radiator service (bc i drained the radiator about 15k miles ago and refilled with green "all vehicle, all color" prestone coolant. my yota dealership said it would be fine but i am paranoid haha)

check out northridge toyota for a YT deal.

find another stealer to do it. all the parts are going to be in the $400 range alone.
get a new quote for the belt only. then add on the water pump and acces.

im at 140K on my 02 and still have to do the timing belt, etc
replace all the fluids for sure.
