88 7MGTE 4Runner going again, now intercooled and more
I have a few more bugs to get out, but I've been driving it for a few days now and it's great What I've done recently:
3200lb pressure plate, rebuilt R150F trans
I blew the seals out of the slave cylinder after about 150 miles with the 3200lb pressure plate. My toyota dealer buddies hooked me up with a stainless braid piece of flex line to replace the rubber one, as it was stretching too much and limiting the slave cylinder travel. They also gave me a slave cylinder out of a 01 RAV4, which is slightly larger in diameter so it has a little bit less travel than the stock slave but also makes the pedal a little bit lighter.
Upgraded turbo:
intercooler
IC mounts welded in place:
IC pipes painted:
All installed:
Here's what she's looking like right now:
I'll mount the winch solenoid under the hood and then I can raise the bumper up to meet with the grill. For the center section of the grill I'll either modify the stock piece or make something out of mesh.
What do you guys think? It's pushing around 350hp at the wheels right now. Any idea what it's worth? Interior is great, and it has 151k miles.

I haven't gotten to the brakes or suspension yet, but I plan to do a rear disc conversion, possibly larger fronts, and a rear traction bar. Well I guess I put 26mm torsion bars on, an extra pair of leaf springs, and replaced all of the rubber body mounts and bushings with urethane ones, but more needs to be done
I'll post up some current vids in a while, but here are three from last summer with no intercooler and the stock turbo running 13-14 psi. A friend wanted to see if my 4runner was faster than his buddies new v6 accord, and that's what the first two vids are. The second is a Gtech quarter mile run with a friend driving. I've been too busy to take it off road, but hopefully I can do that soon too and vids will follow

That's great! When I get a house and a garage I'm going to swap a 7MGTE in my rig.
I just wish Superrunner would make the custom bellhousing. I don't want to use a W56.

Yeah, making that bellhousing to retain my R150F was the biggest obstacle in the swap. Superunnerwill get to it soon I'm sure since there is such great interest ( hint, hint )
I think I'm getting used to the clutch now, so it's hard for me to say how much harder it is. I sometimes pump the clutch with my hand when bleeding, and I gave up on that pretty quick with the 3200lb pressure plate, for whatever that's worth

Looks like your using a 2nd gen DSM BOV there? If so those things leak anything over 12 PSI. Get yourself a 1st gen DSM BOV and crush the top of it slighty and it will hold up to 25 PSI no leaks. Oh yeah, 3200lb PP!!! I've got a 2600lb ACT clutch in my Laser and it dynoed over 400 FWHP and it show's no sign's of slipping after 20K miles of abuse.

Is that the stock compressor housing? I have a 50 trim on my Laser but it uses a T04E Garrett housing with a 3inch inlet, BIG. That thing must be stuffed in there. 60-1 isn't a very good street turbo IMO becuase it requires race gas and a lot of boost before it becomes efficient. That is why I chose the 50 trim because I like pump gas. Assuming this is the same on this engine, we are talking about turbo's though so I would figure it would apply either way.
