87 octane with methanol injection

I was just wondering if I got a water methanol kit, could I go back to using 87 or 91 octane gas with my supercharger? I have a 2.2 pulley that i haven't installed yet. On the truck so far i have supra injectors and a SAFC ii to control the A/F trim if that helps.

I would (and do) still use premium with W/M injection.

even with a different pulley? I'm more then likely going to put on the 2.2 pulley since i have it, but lets say i leave the stock pulley on. Would the W/M and 87 octane be enough to keep it from pinging? I'm just curiuos with running a larger pulley(stock) then others that have W/M injection and a 2.1 or smaller pulley
