I just signed in to post the very same thing!

This is the one I kept seeing around town, never saw it again after I promised to ask the guy if I take pics of it since no one can find much about Trekkers on the net.

not a bad deal for such a rare piece. pretty good condition as well, i'd restore it, and use it for long fishing trips.

Awesome find. Wow. That has soooo much potential. He does need to figure out if he has a 22R or 22RE. Should be carburator and the sticker says so but description doesn't match the pic.

"The 22 re.........and has lots of power."

It is a fake! 22re with "lots of power"...seems suspicious...

That thing is sweet though, I would take that in a heartbeat if I could.

Not trying to sound like a jerk and not trying to be one but what's the big deal about these trucks?
Most of them up here have long been rusted out and crushed..

But then again 82trekker, I love the way your truck looks!!!

Did I just answer my own question?

I emailed him (Sky is the seller) and he agree that he goofed on the listing re: the engine. You can clearly see it's a 22R. It is a nice Trekker, so few left.

well, you can say the same thing for a lot of 60s camaros. i'm sure the majority have been crushed/wrecked over the years. i've got a soft spot for '79-83 and especially '79-81(round headlights) toyota pickups. that's why i own one

Now I feel really dumb!
I looked at the auction and in the pics it has a back seat.

Are these a pick-up or more like a 4runner?

think of it as a prototype 4runner built out of a '79-83 type truck.

Trekker was a conversion done by Winnebago. The "bed" and rear "cap" are fiberglass. It has a rear seat and full interior upholstery.
