7th injector and Deck Plate

I have been on t4r.org for a while, and recently totaled my 2WD.
I have just purchased a 99 limited 4x4 with the 1st gen trd supercharger. Now I am a 4wd, I plan to wheel a little. I am wanting to add the 7th injector and the D/P, but my question is should I wait to add the D/P until after I install the 7th injector? I don't want to increase more airflow and thus decreasing AFR. Is this a valid concern or am I just being over-cautious.

Anyone?

One problem, the first gen blowers won't take the 7th injector. they wont fit. Only on the 2nd gen blowers

1st gen= gray; 2nd gen=black? is this correct? does this apply for URD's kit as well? could I do the fuel upgrade then? thanks

Superchargers will lean out your AFR enough on its own, I would definitely not do the deckplate, or any other sort of intake mods to increase airflow until after I did some fule mods anyway.

Yes, unless someone repainted it.

No,
The URD 7th Injector System is compatible with both the 1st Gen (gray) and the 2nd Gen (black) TRD 5vz Superchargers for the following vehicles:

3.4 liter Tacoma 1999-2004
3.4 liter 4Runner 1996-2002
3.4 liter Tundra 2000-2004

I thought the URD kit would work. So then, it would be wise to wait to do the deckplate? what about the ISR? and would it be worth while to add the Supra MAF sensor?

I haven't done a deckplate, the SCer seems to get lots of air in just fine without it.

Skip the Supra MAF, it makes the tuning much more complicated with the URD 7th. The SCer will force the air in just fine, I'm running 10 psi of boost with no deckplate and stock MAF.

I have the deck plate but have to cover it up some times, when its cold out and i am towing. you will know when its time to cover it because your STFT will be pined at like 19% and LTFT will swing down to like -16%. I found that with the deck plate and headers i had to add fuel before i got in to the boost because i was running to lean. Also i feel the ISR mod just makes the truck loud doing nothing for power.

I like the sound of the ISR, and the deckplate. I live in FL, most of the time it is hot as balls here, do you think this will matter? how hard is the install for the 7th injector? that is what I am leaning towards, but still not sure.

7th is easy, it just takes some time. I set a side about 5hr to do it and the fuel filter and had about 1 hr left to tune the truck. The base map that URD sends is good, but can use a little tweaking to make perfect.

lets be honest the deck plate mod dosent affect the AFR.. he ECU will compensate for that. i have a cold air and a S/C and the 7th injector is still in the ox on my dryer waiting for the temp to raise outside cause its cold as a witches *&* in a brass bra

No deck plate won't affect afr. It just adds more air. If you get the first gen blower get the URD stuff. They have great products
