5VZ-FE power bolt-ons??

Thus far I have done the cat back low restriction exhaust, the intake silencer delete mod, doing the deckplate mod on saturday and am looking for more mods or bolt ons to improve horsepower. I was pondering on maybe a hotter cam... maybe getting my intake manifold ported and polished... definately doing headers... I know that down the line I think a stock supercharger is in order.... what else can I do that is cheap but cost-efficient to get a quick power boost? Mind you I am building my 2000 4Runner to be a DD and trail rig.... minor lift and maxing out at 33in tires... SUGGESTIONS PLEASE! thanks

If you get 33's, you'll want 4.88 gears. My old 4.10s were laggin' w/ 33's. And if you get gears, you should get at least a rear locker installed at the same time. Not cheap, but nothing will give you a performance boost like gears (and a locker) will. The SC will definitely give you more power all around, gears will vastly improve your acceleration and torque.

I say do both if you're looking to make it really mean, but I recommend re-gearing 1st. It's cheaper than the SC, but will still give you a major performance boost - maybe enough that you won't even want the SC afterwards.
