$5600 for the V8 SC

You think thats way to much, for the SC it's $4699.00 and something like 9-10 hours of labor at 90 bucks an hour, they said the 3rd Gen V6 4Runners where 5 hours and since the new one is more complicated

I really thought it would cost nomore than 4500-5000, Im undecided if I should wait.

Isn't their a guy in here who works for a Dealer in texas who said their shop did several, maybe he could give me some ideas as to know what it should cost, and if I should wait, or wheel and deal.

I could probably buy the SC off toyotaparts4u.com but the dealer is a little uptight about that, I'll see when I take it in on Thursday for an alignment, if they don't have SC in stock I could not see why they could not just order it that way, but then again I have the slightest clue how they make profit from TRD.

Edge,

I too have been flirting with the idea of a supercharger, but for $5600 thats all I'm going to do is flirt.

I would wait until around christmas or just after. The prices will drop.

V8 4-Runner Super Charger

Gentlemen, I have that particular SC in stock and would be happy to let it go fo $4000. Please let me know how you would like to proceed, we accept all major credit cards.

As for installation, the way we quote that here for the V8 is 9 to 10 hours but at a labor rate of $60 rather than our regular rate of $75. Basically if they are charging you more than $500 then you are getting a high installation rate for it.

I thought you already had it? Didn't you say a few months ago that you had it and were waiting to install it?

I wish someone would get it and say how great it is so I can justify buying it.

I think the prices will come down... I'd wait another year or two, unless you gotta have it right now.
Plus paying $.20 a gal for 93oct has kinda turned me off.

I'm sure the prices will come down. Just look at how they are comming down on the V6 S/C, very slowly, but they are comming down. My wife wants a S/C for her GX but I think they are still alittle high.

I think Im gonna continue to flirt with the idea, they just want way to much and I think I'll be the 1st one they do.

rixham
I could order it for 4k but im unsure if the dealer would install it, then if they do im still paying 9-10 hours at 90 an hour.

TOR
If only I lived in your area.

PistonSlap
I did have it but I bounced it back, my dealer at the time wanted 7k for the SC with installation but that was when it 1st came out and they gave me the run around, if they did not give me such a problem I probably would have it, also the place I ordered it from messed it up and sent 2 so I could have actually sold one but they realized and so forth Im still NA

JGage
It's coming down and as the techs get more SC under their belts Toyota will redo the hours it takes for the job unless it really takes 9-10 hours.

By the time the price drops I'll be driving a GX

Their is a guy in here who said he ordered the SC "I PM him" and with the price of installation was 4300 but I'll wait and see cause if it's any longer than 2 weeks then he don't have it

When I stopped in the dealer to set up my alignment they had a Scion outside, MSRP was 13 and with all the add ons it came out to 22k:pat: looked nice though

V8 SC

Drive down here to good ole Richardson, TX and I will have it installed and out the door for $4500. I have checked with my manager and we would specifically call in a technician on a Saturday or whatever day you want to have it installed. I know it may be a long drive on the way here but what a GREEEEAT ride it would be back. Think about it!

Not one single person on this board or any other should have to pay for installation. There are enough of us around that give you a hand with the installation.

Do this, but it from Tod, then drive it down to MD and I will help you install it FREE, you buy the Pizza.

No, you should not say that. It will be installed right, but remember I am installing a supercharger and a suplimental fuel system from that big three letter company, so I can not say it will run right.

I would install the SC myself or take Gadget up on his offer but I thought in order to retain my warranty to 60k Toyota has to install it.

By the way I just got an alignment at 8400 miles and courtesy of Toyota they scratched all my rims and messed up the clear coat:pat: I've gotten alignments before and tires balanced and never have they messed up my rims but according to Toyota it's normal
