I think I remember a few of you guys talking about the Surefire tactical flashlights. Well I stopped by the local military gear store before me and my son went camping and they had them. I bought the Surefire C2 Centurion and I gotta tell ya, this light puts the Mag Lite to shame. The C2 Centurion is 65 Lumens and it is the brightest, whitest flashlight I have ever seen!

They also have a 120 Lumens bulb and lots of other models. www.surefire.com. The absolute bad a$$ of flashlights. Lots of technical information on their website and you can order from them.

As a point of reference, I paid $85 for the model I got.

I received a Surefire 6P as a gift and yes, they are one bad ass lights. Though it clearly outperforms my maglite, I'd sure hate for it to be stolen by some punk valet, so it remains in my place.

I've got my 6P in the smaller compartment underneath the armrest/center console.

Ebay's a good place for those batteries, by the way.

Yeah those C2's are dope! I have one myself But I have it mounted on the driver side visor slot area (removed the visor completely so I can mount my CB up in that area.)

I dont have any accesories yet but I want the three battery recharge kit. They have it here for $64. I want to get the M3 Millenium.

I'm also going to get the P61 for my C2! These lights rock! We were on a dark beach camping last night and the 65 Lumens is incredibly bright. Much brighter than a Maglite and abot 1/5th the size.

Indeed the P61 will be a great addition! And believe me, you will definitely love it.

The container I'm talking about is the SC1 (fits the P61 and 6 batteries). The m3 will rock! I don't have any other surefire lights but I know I will be getting more eventually

That charger looks interesting (didn't know they had something like that for the C2.)

The only thing that even comes "distantly" close are the Streamlight lights.

Been using their products for years. Y'all should check into their LED head conversions, or full lights, for extended run time on those batteries.

How is the beam penetration on those LEDs?

I have an LED flashlight in my truck for extended usage but since there's no reflective cup surrounding them it just illuminates the immediate area.

Yes, Peter, all of my controls are in english. The only thing that isn't are the owners manual.

Back to the topic (so I don't get accused of hijacking ) - I'm looking for a permanent mount for my 6P in my cab. Have you guys seen the hard plastic holsters for officers' duty belts?

I was thinking of bolting that somewhere near my shifter so I don't have to dig for a light. What do you guys think?

Surefire lights are the greatest thing since sliced bread ! Just remember to stock up on bulbs.

That's a pretty good price, Woody... Dealer on them is not very much less.

Pelican has gotten into the act also and their lights a VERY nice and not as expensive.

I can only say: Great minds think alike. SureFire to flashlights is like Pelican to impact-proof casings - they are both Rolls Royce in their classes.

Have you guys checked out SureFire's "The Beast"? If I am not mistaken, it uses Xenon gas so it's like a mini-HID flashlight.

I just recently got appointed to be SureFire & Pelican reseller. But I have to admit that I haven't had time yet to study their products thoroughly so if any one needs any of their products or suggests a group-buy, I am more than glad to help and offer you a discount.

That aviator model is pretty slick but did you check out the M3 Millenium? That thing has got to be blindingly bright.

Peter- Those holsters they have are nice. I would go for the bi-directional model.

Yea, I have one and it is (the standard, not the turbo head.) I carry an M2 a lot and the E1E even more...

I have on of these on one of my carbines with the 225 lumen bulb.... It's pretty bright.

I just had to pick this up as well. $64 for the Ni-Cd battery conversion kit. It contains a battery, flashlight attachment extension for the battery, charger and 12V car adapter.

Inova makes some awesome flashlights... My dad picked up 3 free flashlights from them at a tradeshow. He got the 24/7 light with the headlamp attachment. One of the keychain LED's, and the X5 flashlight..

Peter, check these babies out, they all have reflectors. They are not as bright as the standard bulb, but they give way longer run time, meant to be more of a navigation or utility light than a tactical light. Surefire LEDs

My Surefire outfit is a Z3 (discountinued), E2O, E1E, and M500B...all very cool!
