I'm looking for wheel locks for the OEM 16" alloys -1998. Anyone have any recommendations? How do I know which ones are the correct size/threading.?

IMO they are useless. 12 point socket and a hammer will take anybody them off just as fast as a normal lug nut. Save your money.

Agreed and it's a PITA for your mechanic to keep up with the "key" during services. They are useless as locking gas caps when someone can simply cut the filler hose or bore a hole into the tank itself.

X3! They are a PITA and way more trouble than they are worth IMO.

I had some on my truck and just ran into a problem with them this past weekend. I was swaping out my rear differential and one of the first steps is to remove the tires. Simple enough, right? Wrong! I tried for over an hour to get the damn wheel locks off but they wouldn't budge and I even ended up stripping one of them. I ended up just giving up and I took my truck to Discount Tire and had them remove the locking lugnuts and replace them with regular ones.

After I had them removed I though about what I would do if that happend while I was on the trails...I have a hi-lift and a full-sized spare tire but they wouldn't have done me much good if I couldn't get the lugnuts off...Just food for thought...
