4runner stalling and starting problems
lets see if i can explain this mystery. a friend of mine has a 97 toyota 4runner V6, auto. he started having some electrical issues recently, it goes like this: when he would be driving and hit the brakes the radio would cut off, this problem would come and go.
well this problem kinda went away and has now started going like this: you start the truck either in nuetral or park, put it in gear and shut it off, then if you were to put it back in park or neutral it will not start whatsoever, SOMETIMES if you turn it off completly and take the key out it might start, might not. i know this sounds confusing and it is.
now the biggest problem of all is: if he is driving and were to hit the brakes to slow down the vehicle will stall. is this an EGR problem?
what in the world could be causing all this, it all started with a touch of the brakes. ANY help would be appriciated.
