Some sad news to report. Yesterday, while parked at my office, the grounds crew managed to swipe the front end of my Runner with a lawn mower. To make matters worse, they didn't tell anyone about it and just drove off. Luckily, the cameras covering the parking lot caught it all on tape. Long story short, their insurance is covering it ($2700 worst case scenario from the stealership), but until then I am left with a sad looking 4Runner. Also, the Westin Brush Guard on the front is not salvageable and the model has been discountinued by Westin, so I am left looking for a new brush guard. Anyone on here have any experience with other manufacturer's?? I have seen some Go Rhino and Aries guards, but haven't seen them tailored to a 4Runner. Any pictures would be appreciated too! I am happy with the looks and durability of the Westin and would like to get something similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take off that damage multiplier, and get yourself an ARB bumper. Then you won't have to worry about lawn mowers doing damage anymore.

X2. Tell the insurance company and the stealership you don't want a stock replacement bumper and to cut you the check for the amount. Then go spend that on a good bumper.

I had to look a few times to see the damage. Its ridiculous how little of damage can be sooo expensive.

Unfortunately the impact was located right where 3 body panels meet. The lower valence on the bumper needs replaced (and painted), the right fender may need replaced (if they can not straighten it), the corner light needs replaced and the entire front bumper needs re-mounted and re-aligned. Not to mention $600 or so to replace the brush guard. I like the ideas of just replacing the entire front bumper though...hmmm

You know know first hand why those are called damage multipliers. I also think you should get a whole new bumper this is my favorite.

certainly a good example what a low-speed impact does to the brush guard and, subsequently, body parts (ie. marker light)...

i'd say sorry for your loss, but you may gain a LOT if you choose the "right" thing

Zactly what he said! Cept get something cooler looking than an ARB if you can. 2700 should easily cover a sweet bumper plus a lot more.

If a lil mower did that, imagine what a car woulda done

Oh and if you REALLY want a brush guard again, Hunter has one that looks almost exactly like the Westin one.
Can't seem to find one right now though.

Check out Perkins performance as well. They can paint to match, they will make it wider to accommodate your fenders, and Keep your stock blinkers and if you call and talk to him, I am sure he can find a spot for your fog lights to boot.

no more brushgaurd! they look cheap and especially on the fatlip bumpers they look like they would scrape pullin into driveway. but hey, my girl thanks they make trucks look "tougher' go figure.

I was going to say you really should tighten the screws to those people. Not necessarily for pain and suffering but just the fact they hit and run just makes my blood boil. Just be thankful you had a camera to find out the perps.

On your question I do not know where to find a replacement but if you DON'T WANT an actual bumper don't listen to these guys. Granted brush guards do not offer much protection when compared to aftermarket steel bumpers, it's still your choice and yours only. I actually had good luck with my combo mount WARN winch bumper on my S10 Blazer years ago. It was bolted both to the frame and front of factory bumper. It was very sturdy compared to other brush guards and I've even run down manageable trees. Unfortunately for me WARN has discontinued these brushguards.
