4.7 gears for a 97 tacoma?

Anyone know where to get 4.7 gears for my transfer case? Marlin isn't selling them yet.

Any other cheap ideas for gear reduction. I'm burning the clutch up in my truck.....

Any input is appreciated.

either look for 4.556 or 4.88 are the most widely available alternative gears. if you're for some reason having trouble finding them from marlin try east coast gear supply they'll set you straight

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I need gears for my transfer case, not my diffs.

I checked at east coast and only see the gear driven(pre 1995.5) parts. Same thing at Marlin.

Does anybody make replacement gears for a belt driven transfer case in the 95.5 + Tacoma?

No one does, if you want low gears in your taco, you got two choices, duals or a lefty from inchworm.

Thanks for the response.

I looked into Duals from Marlin but they also say coming soon. Any ideas on where to find a dual set up or is it just a matter of buying another case and and adapter?

I assume I'll need a shorter drive shaft as well?

Thanks again,

The reason you don't see gears is because your T-case is chain driven.

You could get a lefty gear drive case from inchworm

Thanks Deathcougar. I checked out Inchworm. I wasn't expecting $2500 but After I picked up my jaw and remembered to blink..... I guess it makes sense. I'll have to save my money for a few months I think.

I appreciate the help!

Marlin is 1500 hundred plus mods--not a bad deal if you ask me.

Build time is between 2 and 3 weeks.
