3rd gen. 4Runner interior

Hey i have a 99 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4wd with the fake plastic wood grain thingy as the interior accent thingy. I dont really like it, i want to change it to the OEM silver looking peices like this http://mycolorado.org/images/stockgallery/pages/n.htm
http://mycolorado.org/images/stockgallery/pages/j.htm

My question is, will it fit, how much will it cost (approximately), and did the 3rd gen. 4Runners ever come with different types of interior colors (aside from seats and trim). Im talking about the color of things like door panels, carpets, etc. Im worried about it not matching well.......
Help is appreciated, thanks

The limited models all came with the same tan leather. I think the silver pieces were part of the sport edition 4Runner. You may have to check the button configuration of the console on 01 and 02 with the 99 since I think they are a little bit different. If the button configuration doesn't affect the molding you want to change, then I'm sure you can do it.

By the way, Limited model never came with the aluminum colour, only the wood grain....so I dont' know how it will look.

Nope. JC_ez is correct that the silver pieces were on the 2001 and 2002 Sport Editions.

my 01 sport edition came with silver panels and they're painted. so you can do the same, not worth the money to buy it from dealer. or take out the trim replace it with brushed aluminum or carbon fiber trim.

I don't think those parts will fit your 98 Vato. They changed the center part in 99.

FLzRider: Check ebay for those parts, they are usually black, but you can always paint them!

The only interchangeable parts are the woodtrim around the steering wheel.

2001Millrunner, who sells brushed aluminum and/or carbon fiber trim? Id like to see both.

Also, lee, who is jason burtman and does he have any pictures of his silver trim for sale.

Vato Loco, i will let you know if im interested in the trade or not. I have yet to make my mind on anything.

Thanks again

Who cares, just pop off yoru trim and paint it! I did. do a search for it. I had the old fake woodgrain on y 97 and took it off and re-painted it black. BE CAREFUL: the woodgrain is held on by this ungodly material that will not come off for anythign! It's a major PITA!!! But def. worth not paying 200 for a new trim set, just buy a few cans of good (krylon) spray paint and if you want it to bling and last, get some clear coat. Again, do a search for painted interior, i have a thread about mine somewhere w/ pics, although the links may be dead due to me moving web hosts.

the only thing i can think of is go to your dealership parts department and get a standard black trim replacement You'd still have to peel certain parts of the trim off though, so that wouldn't be worth it at all.

I think i found a site that has brushed aluminum as the trim ( i believe its synthetic). But it has no pics of what it looks like installed. Anyone know about www.exoticwooddash.com ? Or know where i can see pics?

If all else fails, i think i will buy standard black trim off ebay and paint it. But i havent seen any on there yet. If you happen to see one, let me know please.
