3rd gen. 2wd suspension

Im ooking for performance springs for the 2wd. I already run the bilstien shocks. So Im not to keen on buying full coilovers from downey. From what I hear to, is if you coil it all the way up. you risk braking you from cv boots and damaging the axils. Does this apply to any suspension mods you do? Im also looking to find the Shoei or Elford springs, any retailers in the US. I tried the 185 web site and cant get in...

So... are you trying to lift your truck? or are you trying to make it more sporty/lower it? Performance Products has a lowering spring set, it won't really lower your 2wd (its for lowering the 4wds because they are higher from the facory) but they are progressive rate and will be a tad stiffer.

also, if you just scroll down you will find a thread called H&R progressive rate coils bla bla bla, and there is all the info you need.

right now Im going for anything, far as I know the PP/ H&Rs are only meant to go on the 4wd. Stupid 2wd, is so hard to find supension parts for.

it really depends on what exactly it is you want to do. the PP 1" lift springs will do the trick if you want just a mild lift, and their lowering springs might lower it a tad, and im sure the ride will be different. the 2WD and 4WD suspension is all the same, the only difference is that the springs are a bit shorter on the 2WD. but aside from that, they are identical. 2WDs arent any harder to find parts for than 4WD because they are essentially the same.
