3rd Brake Light - No Worky...

Do you know how to use a test lamp? If so then test the green-white wire for power. If you have power then the problem is on the ground side. If no power then I'd be sure I had brake lamps on both the left and right side. If you do have lights then you have an open wire from the junction connector to the bulb. If no brake lamps at all then check for a blown 10Amp stop fuse.

Both L + R rear brake lights / blinkers / tails work fine, that much is certain.
It would appear then that I have an open wire from the junction connector to the bulb, right?
How do I locate it?
Thank you for the help!

Well that's what it sounds to me like. I'd make a quick run to Wal-Mart and get a $4 test light. A meter is really good for heavy diagnostics but for a simple test it's really too much. With a meter check for voltage at the green/white wire and ground. You should be getting 12volts. If not then either you still have a bad bulb or a bad ground. If no voltage is present yes an open from the junction connector. Alldata is not throwing me a bone as to where the J14 junction connector is so I'm hoping someone else here will chime in.

Here's a diagram for you if it helps. I don't know how skilled you are with electricals but here is a diagram. [IMG][/IMG]
