3.4 Intake options

3.4 Intake options
I am doing a 3.4 conversion into a '94 4runner. The '96 3.4 I bought did not come with any intake parts, other then the AFM.
I live in California, home of smog testing. I want to pass without too much hassle.
K&N is popular. Ingen makes intakes, too. Factory parts are an option, if I can find them for a good price.
What intakes work well on the 3.4?
Anything to avoid?
Anyone have a '96 or '97 intake and air box that they don't need anymore?
I plan to supercharge, eventually. Right now I just want my 4runner back on the road.

I wouldn't recommend K&N. Do the deckplate mod instead.

For stock parts, I'm sure your local junkyard would have them. I think you can check car-parts.com for the inventory of your local scrap yards.
