3.4 Gaskets??
Hey everyone,
I just picked up a 1999 3.4 at a junkyard with 70k. I know the engine has been sitting for a while. My concern are the gaskets. What is the longest amount of time you would let a engine sit and not have to worry about the gaskets? I forgot to ask the guys at the junkyard how long the 3.4 has been sitting. I think if I ask them they will be up front with me but I have to wait til tomorrow. They seem to keep pretty good records of when they get wrecked vehicles. Just wondering what eveyones opinion was on this. Thanks

Did it have a cover of some sort on it (hood/tarp etc), or was it open to the elements?
I don't think I'd be too worried about it if it was covered, but it could probably benefit from a top end rebuild regardless.
