3.4 coolant bypass pipe ?

Quick question, im rebuilding the 3.4 in my 97 4runner im at the point of putting the coolant bypass pipe on and it looks like it should have an O ring but there isnt one that fits in my kit. Does anyone know if it takes a gasket, O ring or RTV?

No o-ring or gasket, a bead of FIPG 2-3mm in width is what the FSM calls for.

Make sure you have very clean surfaces with no oil, coolant, etc. and it will seal up fine.

Welcome.
