3.0 to 3.4 swap air intake

This is a question to all those out there that have done the 3.0 to 3.4 swap. Can I use the stock 3.4 air intake system? Will it fit, or do I have to get an after market system like the K&N fipk air intake?
Thanks!

You can use it, but you have to cut off the stock mounts molded to the airbox and drill holes through the bottom and bolt it to the inner fender.

I've halfway fit mine in. So far I've only had to cut off the front brace that goes over the washer bottle. I did have to cut away part of the old battery tray to let the airbox sit more level. I plan on fabbing up a new brace to replace the one I cut off, maybe going over the washer bottle. I going to wait until the engine is in to do the final fitting. I am planning on cutting an extra hole in the front of the airbox and a hole in the inter-fender where the original inlet is. I'll eventually get some pics together of it.

It looks like I'll be able to use the two bottom mounting points, so don't cut them off unless you have to.
