Hey guys, i have an old 2nd gen i'm going to get rid of and my buddy is building up a 3rd gen 4runner. he does not have cv axels for his runner and i was wondering if the 2nd gen cv's will fit into a 3rd gen?

No the will not fit at all.

2nd gens bolt to the diff, 3rd gens plug in with a c-clip.

The outer spline size is WAY off, and they are different lengths too.
