I have a 1980 model toyota pickup with a 20r engine. I have been rebuilding the engine for the last 6 months and have started thinking about swaping to a 22re engine. I am thinking of taking everything needed from a two wheel drive 1994 toyota. Could anyone give me advice on possible pitfalls or flaws in my plan. Thinking of pulling the engine, trans, dash, and steering colmn. Thanks for any advise.

It will be fun to say the least. It’ll be a lot of trial and error. I’ve never done a swap like this but I’m planning to do the same with my 81 and 22R.
