2005 tacoma debuts next month
yep, it'll be at the chicago auto show early next month. i look forward to seeing the new taco, i'm think it'll look good.

U.S.A., Inc., will debut the all-new Camry Solara Convertible and Tacoma
X-Runner pickup truck at a press conference at the 2004 Chicago Auto Show.
The Solara Convertible will launch in March 2004 and join the all-new
second generation Solara Coupe which was introduced last summer. The X-Runner
will be one of a wide variety of models and configurations offered in the
Tacoma lineup when it goes on sale this fall.

the Toyota press conference through the Toyota pressroom and consumer
websites. After the press conference, journalists and consumers also will be

Toyota's trend over the last few years has been to deny the pleasures of a manual transmission to all but those who are willing to live with the smallest available engine...
For example, you can't get a manual with the V8 in a Tundra...

How do you all know they aren't ditching the manual transmission...and that there will be a V8 option?
Just curious...you seem so sure about it.
(on a side note, I don't see them ditching the manual transmission yet...which is a smart move IMHO)
