2003 prerunner 0-60 video
I decided that I´m going to do a few performance mods to the Taco and I figured I would keep track of my progress along the way.
The first video is a baseline run of my stock 2003 Prerunner 3.4 auto 2wd.

Looks like the stopwatch clocks it at ~8.7s to 60, my next video will start simple with a deck plate mod. Thanks for looking!

I'm sorry to say that a 0-60 time is not going to be a useful measurement of any increased horsepower from simple (less than 10 hp, or 5% gain) mods, you'll never be able to keep everything else constant enough to accurately measure the difference.
You can either dyno it with the deckplate in and out, or be happy with the fact that others have dynoed it at a 5-7 horsepower gain when paired with ISR mods and a better air filter.

Nice. It's good to see someone willing to take it to the limits. I am not that brave. She's got to get me home.

Hey guys today I installed the deckplate, filled it up with 93 octane, and reset the ecu. Once the tank gets low again and the ecu does some learning I´ll take my second video. And for people that are afraid to stomp on their toyota every once and awhile . Its a toyota you have fun and it will still go over 300k with proper maintenance.

Nice vid. Sounds pretty loud for stock. Is it me or is the gearing in circa year 2000 4Runners and Tacomas really long? 40 miles per hour for 1st, 70 for second, by the time you're at 3rd (or O/D off) you're hitting the limiter at 106. Then there's O/D. I mean, it probably wouldn't be that safe for a 4Runner or Tacoma to hit anything over 110, but theoretically I should be able to hit well over 110 if I'm only at 3,500 RPM at 106. I wish you could disable the limiter
Edit:
Yes, I know, these trucks aren't built for speed and I'm not condoning speeding, it's just interesting to see what these trucks could do if they were fully uncorked

its good to open her up for a bit.... I have a friend who I have seen in his toyota just stomp on it in neutral and just bounce off the rev limiter for like 2 min nothing happened. He also sat there with his foot on the gas in one of his other yotas for like 1 min it didnt have a limiter and it also didnt do anything that was a few years ago to... so give her a little more gas sometimes
