2003/04 4.7L K&N Question
At my toyota dealership I noticed the 4.7L Tacoma has a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kits (FIPK). The engine looks exactly like my 2004 4Runner v8 4.7L engine. Does K&N make a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kits (FIPK) that fits the 4runner? I thought the engines were the same???

First off, there is no 4.7L Tacoma's We all would wish that though!
You're probably mistaking it with the Tundra's.
The engine is the same for the Land Cruisers, Tundras, Sequoias, 4runners now. K&N just made the FIPK's for the 4runner and should already be on the shelves I think. Check out K&N's website to verify.
The intake is abit different from the tundra and the 4runner but it should fit with minial modifications (if you get the tundra fipk).
Personally speaking, I wouldn't bother to waste of time or money on that item though. You won't notice any changes at all. You're better off getting an exhaust and/or headers for the money you would spend on the fipk unit.

Yes, there is an FIPK kit specifically for the 4runner or, more specifically, 2003 and 2004 V8:

I was just reading about this in the new Performance Products catalog. I had posted the other day about the deckplate mod in comparison to the K&N intake system. I had a K&N intake on my last car and could tell a big difference, but it was a V6. Since I am not off-roading in this truck and enjoy just cruising around, I don't see the need to spend that money.
