2002 4WD Manual Tranny and Tfr Case with ADD
When in 2WD, in addition to front wheels, two front axles and CV joints; exactly what other front wheel drive components are spinning while driving? I know I have Toyota's version of ADD (automatic differential disconnect) but I need to know what front wheel drive-train parts are still turning when in 2WD, especially the front drive shaft.
By the way, is ADD the same as CAD ("center axle disconnect")?
Thanks in advance for your help.

In 2wd only the front CV axles will rotate well rolling (unless you have manual hub locks off a Taco) the front drive shaft will not rotate until engaged at the transfer case and by the ADD, you should be able to spin the front driveshaft by hand.
