I've got a 2002 4runner sr5 and the 4wd will occasionally just randomly start blinking on the dash while it's in 2wd mode... I park, try to fully lock it into 4wd and then try to take it back out to 2wd to fix it. You can hear it lock into 4wd, the tires all grip, but it continues to blink. Then I attempt to take it out of 4wd, including a series of forward-reverse-forward-reverse maneuvers, before it will shift out. It's kind of a pain in the ass and am wondering if there's a quicker way, or some kind of maintenance I may consider trying. Thanks.
