I called the local dealer earlier this week for a new breather plug for the rear diff on a 2001 4Runner. Went buy today to pick it up and they said that it had been discontinued and they were looking for alternatives., I have no idea what they tried to order but does anyone know the part number for the breather plug? Partznet.com is having some sort of database issue so I cannot look it up

I just did this mod about 2 months ago. I highly doubt that they would discontinue this part within those two months. Besides, auto companies are required to carry every part of a vehicle for at least 10 years after the production.

I'll get you the part number tomorrow. It's at work. But I'm guessing by that time, someone will already have posted it.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure this is what the part number was: Toyota Breather Plug- # 90930-03136 Have them look it up by the number. Make sure you get the plug, not the threaded kind. They made a mistake on my first order.

2nd EDIT: Okay, it's late, so excuse my retardedness. I didn't realize that you were just looking for the actual breather plug, and not looking to do the breather extension. Either way, though, they should have it, or be able to order it in. Like I said, they did order that exact part in by mistake my first time around.

But I suggest the extension mod.
