2001 4Runner Exhaust

My mufler is gone and need replacement. I looked for cat-backs, but can't find any for my truck, therefore I found that some manufactures have cat-backs for '96-'99, but not '00-'02. All those years are 3rd Gen. 4Runners, but somehow aftermarket differ them.
Is there any changes in 2000 model I'm not aware of? Would '99 exhaust work on '01 Limited?

I believe it's the transisition from single cat to dual cat.

If the system is Cat-back, why it doesn't apply to post mod 3rd Gens? Is there a difference in location of the cats and mounting flange?

You saying that '99 would nt work on '01, am I right.

As an alternative, does anyone knows a good mufler to replace the original? I'm not in the noise, but would like to have a nice sound as well. I know Magnaflow has loud muflers. I have Gibson cat-back on my '05 and love it...

If you are willing to spend as much as a Borla's price, the TRD system works well, and don't have to worry about fitting issues. Pricey, but my only option (other than a standard OEM replacement), when it came to replacing my exhaust system.

Stillen exhaust was specific for the dual cats. A handful of us scored on those early this summer.

A nice Magnaflow muffler and a nice tip-you may not be able to use all the piping-they may have a few left yet.

Search 'Stillen' -I think the thread is in Marketplace.
