2 bizzare issues (brakes and transmission)
Over the last few days I've noticed some odd behavor with my 2nd gen. After driving a few miles and coming to a stop the transmission (auto) jolts the truck forward along with a loud thud. The rest of the time it operates as normal. No slipping, no abnormal shifting, fluid is clean and at proper level. The other problem probably not related is occasionally the brake light goes on for a several seconds hen out. The fluid level is good, no leaks, no pedal spongyness or pulsing, the ebrake is functioning well and not out of adjustment and the contact switches for both the brake and ebrake are not out of adjustment or being bumped on. Any ideas?

The master cylinder is full and as for lubing the drive shaft, the problem only occurs at a full stop. The vehical lurches forward at only a complete stop and only after driving for a few miles.

I have the same thing on my taco, been told if greasing doesn't fix it and its a hard stop it's axle wrap due to weak toyota springs, but Im unsure if 4runners have this issue. I'll say one thing its pretty darn annoying. It does not do it when my wife drives but it does it alot when I drive so I must have a lead brake foot.
