2.7 header madness

Can anyone tell me the best way to get past the dual cats situation on 2.7's? I bought a new LCE header and would like to install it but the dual cat thing changes things a bit...Is it alright to cut out the first cat and just use the back one?>>>>>>>

my 2.7 tacoma only had one cat, so Im not sure how to help you out.

my 4runner only has 1 cat as well. what year is your truck? that might explain it. have you physically gotten underneath the truck and seen two cats? i dont mean to sound like an A$$, but if people are just telling you this, I would inspect it for myself. again, please dont take this the wrong way...

one thing you could do is order LC's high flow cat and just bolt it up and alleviate the stock cat(s)

i have a '99 4x4 2.7 and it only has one cat, never heard or seen them come with two, i think someones pullin your arm

This site shows a price list on 4 cylinder superchargers, and lists possible dual cats on a 2000. The first cat is there for cold start emissions. Do you really have to get rid of it?

Mine is an 02. It really does have two cats, one right after another. Could be it's a Kalifornia model even though I bought it in Color-a-do. I'm going ahead with the mod anyways with a peice of straight pipe to the rear cat. 1 cat is enough for me.....
