Looks good dude - I pretty much did the same thing on my '99 minus blacking out the corner lenses.
I would look into the chromed out turn signal bulbs (they appear to be silver/chrome when not turned on, but turn orange when lit) so you can clear those out completely. You can sort of see what I'm talking about here.
You might also think about painting your emblems black, or buying a set of the Black Pearl emblems directly from Toyota (not cheap). I bought a set for mine and I think they were worth every penny. Plasti-dip is pretty big right now it seems - you can supposedly spray it directly on the emblems (still on the Runner) and then just peel it off of whatever you don't want it on. I cannot endorse those claims though.
In my opinion, these are still the best looking SUV's on the road today - with the 5th gen Runner right behind it.

Yeah i thought about that i kinda like the dark grey emblems. but i did those myself. scuffing paid adhisive promoter and whatever paint you want and, your set. i think next is the running boards and the the bumpers in rhino lyning but not sure if i want to do that yet. but i do see your point on the emblems i think if im bored tomorrow that might just happen lol. but i think i may put a twist on just the black. the bulbs you are talking about i know i want them, we stopped selling them at my store a few years ago and i could so use them right about now lol.

bi xenon projectors from ebay (including harness), ebay $40 xentec 5k hid kit (d2s bulbs). Housings are OEM painted black. You can get better projectors and harness from The Retrofit Source as well as better quality bulbs and ballasts (morimoto) or go with all OEM parts for your retro for best results. You need the clean 2000+ lights to begin with though.

I did my tail lights with one coat of paint just to take some of the red away looks great. Has a dark ruby tone to them but I also masked off the turn signal and the reverse light area. And put brighter bulbs in them so if they came out to dark the brighter lights would help.

I only did turns to blend them w/ the bumper and light shows through perfectly in daylight and night. . but headlights and tails I never tint since its self defeating
Also having fun trying to find the black housing Corner lamps by themselves since I like my OE headlamp assymblies
