Exclamation 1998 4runner buying advice!!

Im looking at this 4runner in Binghamton and its got a little bit of issues. So ill just list them.

Major Issues:
Leaking fuel line
Rockers are shot with rust
Running Boards looks like its going
Rear Gate doesn't open
Rear gate has rust spots
Hood and Fenders are peeling
ABS light is on and for some reason I think its the module because it activates when I don't need it to
A/C looks kind of shabby
Hard Ride(maybe shocks or coil??)
Seller says it needs rear brake but ill be the judge of that
Front and Rear Bumpers are rusting away

Minor Isssues:
Blue Fabric Interior (Yuck)
pre-facelift body style
Old interior

The Truck is in Binghamton and I'm in Albany. It was quite a hike to check it out. Its got the Stellar Blue Pearl (Blurple) and I love that color. Since the bumper is rusting and the hood and fenders are peeling, Im thinking off getting the new style bumper and painting it to match the car with the grille, hood, and fender. I'm also looking to do a tan leather interior swap from a 1999+ Limited because the radio and hvac bezel is ugly. I also want the wood trim too. Maybe a grille guard in the Summer... She wants to sell it for $1100 what do you think???

I'll try and upload all the picture tomorrow.

Anyone in the Capital District here??

What are you wanting to use it for, a daily drive or a wheeler? Being a New York truck I assume it is going to have other rust issue and just getting nuts and bolts off is going to be harder then normal. Just from what I am reading, I would take a trip further south and get out of the rust belt for a truck if it was me. If you are just going to drive it and just do enough work on it to keep it running it might be a good deal.

Toyota did not use the best of metal in their nuts and bolts so that is going to make working on it that much harder.

Red face

I am guessing here 3.4 Auto 4x4

You don`t say a thing about the engine or drive train??

No mention of mileage ??

Does it move under it`s own power ??

You are over Come With Lust for the color!!!!

Are you just buying the body and interior ?/ If so then go for it!!!

Rear hatch will not open because the window does not work??

I am only a few hours away.
