1996 Surf with ABS but no BPV - HELP
I can't find the brake proportioning valve on my Surf. I crawled under the rear suspension but could not find the BPV.
All I saw was a hose coming from inside the body just above the left wheel. The hose goes into a Tee attached to the diff. Then from the Tee, one line goes into the left brake and the other to the right brake.
I wanted to fix my sluggish brakes (see my previous post) by attaching the bracket to the BPV. To my surprise, there's no BPV. Up front, two brake lines from the master cylinder go straight into the Aisin ABS box beside the master cylinder.
I'm now at a loss on how to improve my brake performance.
Has anyone with a 3rd gen successfully converted from rear drums to rear discs? Maybe from the LC95 series Prado?
Hope anyone can help on this matter.
Thanks again!

Like I said, I don't think that will be your answer anyway.
