So it's been two weeks since I put new boots, on both inner CV joints and now seeing grease slung under the vehicle. I have a high speed vibration that starts at about 55 mph and last thru 75 mph, worse around 60 mph.
Can this vibration be related to the inner CV joint?
This is all after installing a 2.5" Daystar spacer lift.
Have had alignment, wheels balanced, u-joints checked and drive shaft seems fine. I'm about to remove this lift if I can't figure out the vibrations?

I have read nothing but bad about that lift you have. From what I've read it destroys the CV's and binds them up really bad. Thus causing your vibration. I'd suggest removing it IMO

I can't comment on your lift but on my '97 the lift I had gave me boot problems. Hind site and two vehicles later I wish I'd left it stock.

so what's a better lift? How is another lift not going to put the axles in similar angles/stress? I put the 1" diff drop too.

The guy I took my axles too to have them reboot said he can extend the housing where the joint goes so that it's allows the joint another half inch or so of coverage, welds the spline to the housing. Maybe this is the route I need to go to allow the joint to extend out some more?

Then your fine. After a lift the inner boots will rub at the fins so you should take off the outer clamp and spread the boots a little so they don't touch. Use a hose clamp to reclamp. If it was the inner side clamp that leaked before you may want to use a hose clamp on that side as well so you can make it tighter. Just don't go to far and cut into the rubber boot. It's best to use small hose clamps so they fit in the groove. You will have to use more than one put together if you get what I'm saying. Or just add a hose clamp on top of the regular cv clamp.
