1989 - 1993 Cv Question
The 1990 Toyota Truck 4X4 STANDARD CAB deluxe has cvs for axel in the front? i think anyway? how tuff are they and how often do you change them?

should never need changing as long as the boot is intact and you dont grenade it wheeling.....
it does have cv axles up front
you should be fine using them unless you do some crazy stuff like using 35s with a leadfoot

yea, don't change them unless they get noisy (and it bothers you) or they snap..
apparently anything over 33s is just too much for CV to handle.. as for changing them, couple basic answers in this thread..

They are tougher than most people think (unless they are forced operate at more extreme angles than designed for) and you replace as often as you break them.

Mine went 213,000 miles, 120,000 stock then the rest with 4" lift and 35s. So I think that's a decent record. Got lifetime guaranteed replacements, complete with boots and prelubed for $66 each (exchange) at Carquest.
