15x8 or 16x8

going to buy rims and tires here in a couple of days and i am wondering if i should go with the 15x8 with 32x11.5 or 16x8 with 265/75. any pros or cons to each one. they are going on a 2000 2wd 4runner with 2.5 inch daystar lift. the rims will have 4 inches of backspacing.

Check tire availability. 2wd, right? You might find more suitable tires in the 16"....but if you plan to put anything beefy on there, you'd probably find more available in 15".

15" tires tend to be slightly cheaper. I personally like the slightly beefier look of a 15" wheel and a 32" tire.

its to the point now where 16s are almost as universal as 15s.... also bear in mind that if your truck came with 16" wheels the 15s arent going to fit due to caliper issues

it did come with 16's, however on the door jam it calls for 15's and im going to put black steel wheels from wheelers on it. wheelers says that their 15's are specifically designed to clear the calipers on toyotas that came from the factory with 16's. yeah the 15's are also cheaper. im a cheap bastard. anyone have wheels from wheelers that verify this.

also remember that most 16" truck tires are super stiff because they're designed for use on 3/4 and 1 ton rigs.

personally i hate big wheels, give me 15s any day.
