i was planning on running the SS #1.5 lift and a daystar 1.5" spacer lift.

is there anything i should look out for.

-cv angles?

I did the dayster 1 inch lift on my runner.

I'd do the struts now instead of doing it all over later.

I know...like me you'll go nah!

Now I'm doing it twice!

The longer Daystar bolts that replace your studs will eat through your upper coil pads.
Just like mine are doing now.
The bolts have large high head that press the rubber between the coil spring.

Toyota wants 125.00 for 2 new rubber rings!!

My left shock loosened up after the daystar lift and was sloshing around for a while. Not good.
I just welded the upper plate and washer holes because they were oblong.

Problem is that Daystar provides a HUGE thick top washer that completely obscures the rubber shock bushings.
So you really can't see if your tight enough or too tight.

Can't say I'm happy RIGHT NOW because mt truck is apart in the garage with questionable upper springpads that cost 120.00 and the daystar shock bushinsgs are toast from sloshing around.

Check out the revtek lift first.

I've just learned that Daystar superseeded that bolt kit with a stud kit in their newer kits as per Steve at Sonoran Steel in AZ.
Also.......that 120 bucks for the toyota upper coil rubbers is for the whole upper plate. The only way it is sold.

Is the daystar on top of a coil spring lift already? I was considering the 1.5" lift on the stock springs of my runner. Let me know your thoughts.

No but to install the dayster kit ,you need to pull apart the strut and coil to pop out the short studes and replace them.
My lift spacer sits on top of the loaded coilpack.

Learn from my mistakes!!!!!!!!
Change the struts while you do that lift. I'll tell you why and this mistake could be made by you.
The new struts have a longer extension than the stock struts.
So when you compress the spring with that 10.00 contraption ..you must re-tighten the upper shock nut and compress the bushings while the spring is free of tension if your re using the old struts.

If you try and tighten that nut to compress the shock bushings, you will draw the spring in thinking your shock is tight. WRONG!!!
Both of my shocks have been loose and sloshing around for 1.5yrs.
I had to re-weld the upper plates holes and washers because of oblong holes.
If I had gone with bilsteins with the longer extension to begin with......this would never have happened. Hope this helps. Kenny S>

All I'm saying is.........there are some pitfalls to doing this yourself If your not equipped the right way.
My harbor freight spring compressors barely do the job and pretty much max out my CP air gun.

So reinstalling the stock shocks is pretty tough because of their shorter extension length.

cv angles will be just fine with a 1" lift, dont worry.

FYI, from our FAQ's:

16. Two Top Out Spacers. If you install two top out spacers on one side, any and all applied warranties and support will be VOID. Installing two top out spacers on a single side is a huge mistake, we will not sell you the extra spacers under any circumstances. If you obtain some on your own and install them, you assume all risks and consequences for your actions.

The Daystar front spacer would be an even larger mistake.

You will have too much droop and rip the outer CV's apart.

Search here on Yotatech for all of that info and people that have had that happen to them.

If you would like to piece together your own kit, you can. If someone uses mine it must be installed correctly to be warrantied.

I had 4 wheel parts install a 2.5 Daystar on mine and I haven't had any issues. I really don't do much offroading. On a slight thread jack though, why is it some spacer kits are like $100. and others" Daystar" are considerably more?

I have the 1.5 daystar top spacer. I swapped over to some non-trd tundra coils and shocks at the same time to get a stiffer ride and 2" of lift. No issues or problems at all and I have been wheelin on them for over a year. My only gripe is I just wish I had put the money towards SAWs or Donahoes

My best advice would be to not go cheap and do it right the first time.
