1/4 mile times

Where can I found out 1/4 mile times of various vechicles. What is the quarter mile of a V8 2004 4runner vs like a Inf FX35 or a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Greetings some where in the 16-18 second range. That is at 5800 ft above sea level.

Yeah, I second that...I have seen countless articles and numbers showing the V-8 Runner running anywhere from 15.3 -15.8 in the quarter. As far as 0-60 I've seen 7.2-7.8...??? That's the best I can do. Good luck.

It might even be a little quicker then that. I'm thinking it may be good for low 15's. I've run a 14.9 in my S/C'ed Tacoma and I recently raced my 4Runner against it... The 4Runner stayed right with it... That 4.7 bolted to the 5spd is an awesome combo.

I posted this on another thread...don't know how 'officially' fast it is, but fast enough for me and my Runner.

Here! Here! Yes, my dual Borla cat-back is the best mod I have done also. I couldn't image the vehicle without it!

A blue 350Z ricer pulled up to me at the stoplight. He wanted to race. You know the scenario, two busy lanes merging into one lane. I started out like I was normally leaving the light (slow, steady) and then I punched it! Wa-Baaaaaah. the Runner literally dipped backwards when the torque hit the rear wheels. I won the race up to 60 then the torque band and gearing petered out and that blue Z had to slide in front of me at the lane merge driving through the shoulder gravel.

His nice shiny Z got 'dusted' by a 4710 lb. pig with 4WD!

Ah, the feeling! :pig:

How is a 350Z a ricer?

That Z car would have beaten you by a full second in the 1/4 but jumping his ˟˟˟˟ til 60mph is pretty good.

Two big fat coffee cans (exhaust) on a nice $38K car is in my book, a 'ricer'.

Yeah, he would have taken me from a stop, but it was fun while it lasted.

Actually a bigger exhaust isn't rice in my book when placed on a performance car and those "big fat coffee cans" is good for about 14whp since the stock exhaust is pretty restrictive on the new Zs.

Ricer to me is anything put on the car that hampers performance or is just in bad taste.

sac, so those with dual exhaust's on here are ricers? if you gain any performance from a mod, i dont think it's ricer...exhaust is necessary in almost any car for better performance...

To me, a ricer is a vehicle that is all looks and no go If you're lookin slick yet doesn't haul @ss then you better start usin your $ on performance than looks

You can put tooooo big of an exhaust on a car and that usually happens with the youngsters putting 3 inch pipes on their NA 4bangers. I've seen dyno runs that showed an average of a 5hp loss because it's too big and really hurts torque also.

Turbo cars are the ones that really benefit from bigger exhausts or even no exhaust.
