05 tacomas
Finally saw one in-person at the dealer yesterday. It's a black access cab Trd sport (sold). For those complaining its gotten too big, to me it didn't seemed that much bigger than the 04's. Personally, the double cab is the one to get - it just looks more macho than the xtra cabs. I still prefer the look of the new 4runner's front end over the new taco's though.

yea, i saw one yesterday for the 1st time. its big, but not like unmanageably big. if you can drive an 04, you can drive an 05 just as easy.
the one i saw was a black trd as well... the guy had already changed out the tires to Revos... unless this is a little known factory option?
i thought trds came with bfg rugged trails?

Did it have a hood scoop? You probably saw a Trd sport with the 17" 4runner rims and dunlops. The Trd off-road version is the one with those Rugged trails. Now what's the big deal with the Revos? is anyone NOT getting these? sure it handles great but that's b/c its a street tire!

The only time I ever got stuck with my revos the water line was at the headlight.... it might be a street tire, but its a street tire that never failed to amaze me off road. In wet clay, mud, rocks... it took them all. Its also has a better tread life because they don't have to run a supersoft compound like MTs.
This hole was sloid wet clay. It had already been dug out with 305s twice and my 265s made it up on the second try. Then matt had to go around. I can't remember what tires he had though.

Revo's aren't a street tire! :pat: :pat: They're a premium All-Terrain tire. Revo's have been proven time, and time again offroad. In fact, I just had some put on my mom's Infinti QX4 a few weeks ago. All I can say is they are awesome tires, on road or off; know your limitations.
