'03 Repair Manuals
Called up Toyota about getting a copy of the shop manual for my '03. Was informed that it is a lovely 3 volume set for the total tune of about $350 shipped. Haven't found one by either Haynes or Chilton.
Anyone order this set? Is it worth the $$? What are the three different volumes? I don't plan on doing any mods for probably a year or two but am planning ahead for future use, not to mention having a handy reference in case I manage to break something hundreds of miles from the nearest Toy dealer.

I got the 'complete' set of manuals for my SR5 V6. And they appear to be well written for Japanese manuals. But a word of
caution, if you have the V6 flavor you will have to also get a forth book. It seems that Toyota didn't include any V6 info in the original repair manual series. I found out the hard way, and the dealer ( who didn't know any better ) had to order a supplement issued just for the V6 changes. It cost an additional $85.00, and it only covers the changes for the V6, so you still need the original repair manual Vols, 1 and 2, along with the Electrical wiring diagram manual to have a complete set.
Publication #s:
Electrical Wiring Diagram - EWD514U
Repair Manual Volume 1 - RM1001U1
Repair Manual Volume 2 - RM1001U2
Repair Manual Supplement - RM1034U
If you are really the type to DIY, you will probably have to make the investment in them.

Just won an auction for vol1&2 based on a different thread about the manuals being on eBay. Thank for the heads up about the V6 supplement. Toyota Publishing didn't mention it at all when I talked to them...
