00 door switches in a 96?
Ok I got some new switches off ebay for my 96 runner. One of the 96 runner swithces has a short and doesn't roll down the passenger window sometimes.
Well the one I got has the auto down option on the pass door. I thought cool added goodie! Well I went to put it in and the plugs are a little differnt and there is a extra one.
Anyone done a swap here for this?

I don't think this is going to work. There are more wires on the auto roll down switch itself as well.
All the relays are housed in the driver switch panel.
Someone on here was working on a way to do this, and spent countless hours trying to figure it out. Maybe they will see this and post their results.
All of the guts are in the driver sill switch.
Keep us updated!

Thanks. It sounds like it's more work than it's worth.

I snagged a door switch panel off a 99 and was planning to do the same thing. I stared at it for a while and just gave up. On the upside you have a spare power mirror switch, which works great for in-cab winch control.
I also found a complete, decent CV axle assembly for $37. I love junkyards in the winter.
