00 4wd question

So I got a 00 4wd runner. no pressbuttons on anything - just the shifter. I am curious how the 4wd works and what lockers may/may not be on the truck. So I dont think it comes with any diff lockers factory. Does this mean that if 1 wheel slips then none of the rest will turn? Or does one wheel on front and one on rear have to slip before you have no more power to your wheels?

Been there, read that. What about an 00 4runner? Any factory lockers? Thanks for the help.

Yes they have factory rear lockers.

Have you used the search button at all?

Yeah, I was on here about 3-4 hours searching for it the night before I bought the truck. Found some threads about 2002's and 2001's but both those systems have a pushbutton 4x4 button which I read apparently has a center locker. By they way, thanks again. I look up everything before I post - just couldnt find anything specific on 00's.

Ok, well if you have a locker the button will be to the left of the steering wheel.
If you dont have a limited 4Runner you probably dont have it

Search harder.

Yeah, no limited. And no pushbutton - so no locker?

Not sure how to "search harder". I searched for "diffs" "4x4 lockers" "diff lockers", "00 differential lockers", "00 4x4", "00v4wd". But thanks again for the help. Sorry to be a bother.

This thread has some ok info

so does this one
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/l...r-diff-157538/

Click search, Click advanced search, type "Stock Rear Locker" and then select the 95.5-04 and 96-02 Taco's and 4Runners and that should narrow the search results down some.

No need to apologize

EDIT : Its been 5 years already ?
Mmm more like 1.5...
