That's crazy that rifle season hasn't started yet. Here rifle season ended the first of November. Bow season starts at the end of August.

Too bad you can't hunt around Alta Sierra, I've seen some monster bucks walking down the street there. Every year I watch the deer migrate from the mountains behind my house down to safer country around the start of rifle season. Those are some awesome looking fish, though, where was that at?

Alta Sierra you mean between auburn and grass valley? My cabin is off 20 on zeibright Road before you climb up to 80 on 20. I have shot a few bucks there but a mountain lion moved in this year and loggers. It was the worst I have seen it in the past few years. I caught those fish up at sawmill lake off of bowman lake road. I fished and hunted all those areas off bowman lake road.

It's a different world here then. We planted plots just a few weeks ago on opening day of bow season, rifle season starts the 22nd and runs till the 2nd week of February.
It's going to be a cold winter this year from the looks of it.

Thats the one i meant! I thought the picture might have been sawmill. That place is awesome.

I live off of 20, small world?

There have been a ton of deer from Washington road down, I would look for a spot there for next year, if I were you. Maybe off Burlington ridge or one of the little cuts off 20 on the north side, I've seen a few out there in my travels this fall. I'd stay off casci ranch though, a couple of those folks aren't so nice these days.

Wow awesome. Whitetail is a different game. We have black tail and mule deer here and a cross of the two. We had a small snow storm the last weekend of the season here but it isn't uncommon for us to get 3' or more of snow in any given storm at any given time. I have stood on 12' of snow and looked in the second floor windows of our cabin in January. This is what it looked like last January.

That is crazy I saw tracks from a herd of deer dropping down into the yuba canyon at bowman lake road down canyon creek. I was hunting to high and I had a feeling that was the case. I have a gold claim on the yuba off Maybert rd right out of Washington

That sucks! I hope they don't give you too much grief about the missing parts.

It's coming along nicely. How's the fit so far? Do you have to make it work, or is it well laid out?

It's definitely a good fit for the truck. You really want to tack as much as you can together before welding it solid so that all the lines look good but CBI offroad did a great job planning and fitting this kit to the 2nd gen platform. Other than the missing pieces I haven't had any trouble putting this kit together. Plus they did an awesome job deburring all of the edges on the cut pieces. That is attention to detail a lot of people wouldn't even notice unless they didn't do it, i bet a lot of people wouldn't even realize how much that deburring saves them time and effort. I will be working on it and posting more pictures tomorrow.

Got it all tacked on the truck today pulled it off and fully welded it. Just need to grind it back and paint it.

That looks awesome!

How many places does it tie into the frame?

It has two brackets that have three bolts each that welds to the frame and then four bolts that go into the front cross member. You can see all of the bolts in this picture.
