Well I still haven't done any work on my toyota... (Still need to bed line the floor and buy a whole bunch of stuff before I blow my yota apart.) I have been helping a friend however, remove his 3 inch body lift off his 88 Toyota. He bought the truck with the lift already equipped, so we are kind of winging it. The bed is really straight forward and we got it sitting on the frame. Hopefully have the cab lowered down by night.

We got her all finished up.

Know, I need to start working on my truck instead of everyone else's. It's going to take a couple months of buying to get all the parts lined up. Here the need to be purchased list:
35 spline locking hubs
Rear axle
R&P for both axles
Lockers for both axles
Master install kits for both axles
Daul case adapters
Doner transfer case
(Need to find and buy) 63' chevy leaf springs
Coil-overs (X2)
Links for the front
And alot more odd and ends like leaf spring hangers, drive shafts, ect...

I like look a lot also... The "big" tires and the no lift look sweet. 👍🏻

Yesterday afternoon, I went to a salvage yard with a goal of buying a rear axle and leaf springs but ended up with 2 Toyota 4x4 badges instead.

Lol... The truck was missing one

Today, I'm going to try and go to another place to get an axle and leaf spring. Hopefully have better luck 👍🏻

Well the exterior of the blue truck and my red truck are both clear because they have been repainted in the last few years. (By the previous owners) I also clean mine very well (some rag on me for spending too much time on an old beater Haha). I spent about a whole day when I pulled my carpet cleaning. It was a pain but well worth it now. 👍🏻

Yesterday afternoon, I continued the hunt for a rear axle. Here in GA, 14 bolts are becoming harder to come by (in salvage yards) because all the people makeing rock buggys. Im not kidding, I called one place and he said he sold his last 4, 14 bolts last week to one guy building rock bouncers. I got over to pull-a-part an only found 2 full float 8 lug rear axles in the whole place. One was a 14 bolt

and the other was a dana 60. It was too late to pull the 14 bolt so, went down the road to You Wrench It and found about 2 full float 60's and one full float 70. I plan on going back to get the 14 bolt but it may be Monday before I get back there. Hopefully no one takes it till then.

Both of the trucks in the above picture are great looking. You dont see many on the road that look that good. I feel your frustrations on trying to find a part that you would think would be easy to find and cant.

Very true, I very rarely see 80's toyota on the road and the ones I see are 2wd.

Well, yesterday I went back to pull-a-part and well... Pulled the 14 bolt. I took my brother with me for some extra man power to pull that 600 lb axle from underneath the truck. The axles is coming out of a 1995 GMC 3500 work truck (srw).

My brother wants to put this axle in his jeep so, this may not go under the toyota.... Only time will tell if it end up in the Toyota or not. If he uses the axle, I will just go find another one and make him help me pull it.

Yup, I am not too worried about. Theres always more fish in the sea. I still am not sure on the gearing though... The lowest you can go on a 14 bolt is 5.38's... I am still considering a dana 60 or 70 so I can go as low as 7.17s if I wanted...

It looks like the 14 bolt is going in the Toyota after all... So, I pressure washed It yesterday. I also pulled both axle shafts to inspect for damage and to get a spline count.

I also pulled the cover and cleaned all the old gasket off the cover and axle.

Heres what I learned:
4.10's
Limited Slip (kinda sucks because now I cant just weld it..)
30 Spline axle shafts
Wms-Wms is 66.5 inches
