Some re assembly, but had to stop when I found the splines on the front output were twisted! Oops.

Ill be picking up another case tuesday for parts and get it back together.
If you don't have any luck,finding a case I am pretty sure I have a good.front spline/output I could send you, just pay for.the medium flat rate box.

Hey thanks! Thats good to know! I ended up getting a top shift case for $60, but it had been sitting in a field uncovered for a bit. Took me 3 hours to get the front output out. 4 bolts needed a 13mm punched on , and 4 broke heads off, and 1 needed to be cut off. But I won. Haha
Should get it finished up tomorrow.
Little more wire brushing and well have it back together. 1/2 way done with the one on the right, still need to do the left case.
Took the time to through bolt the pass side engine mount to match the drivers side. 1/2x3" grade 8
Retorqued the high steer arms and ubolt, greased the drive train changed the tranny fluid, went through and organized recovery gear. Shell be already for a little wet spring wheelin next weekend! Even washed and vacuumed the inside!
Finally getting nice enough out I can wrench with the door open again.
Looking forward to a new wheelin season with some new pics! Wish I had a nice shop with a paved floor, it gets old crawling around in gravel that the neighbors cat uses as a litter box, lol.
Not a lot of news other than a wheeling a bunch. After 2 years of wheeling on them, my RUFs are shot. Going to replace with some Old Man Emus.
Old bastard pack made from 2 or 3 other 48" rear 4runner springs. New springs are 2" lift for same said 4 runner (cs009r). I may have to modify them a bit, but it gives me a great pack to start with. Paying with ride heights tomorrow night.

Springs are on. I pulled the long overload but left the short one. Got about 3" of lift from them over my old springs. The spring clamp may hit the pitman arm, so ill have to watch that when flexing it out tomorrow.
I've heard good things about the OME springs, I hope they work out good for you. I am planning on using them when I finally get around to doing a SAS on my 4runner, so I'll be looking forward to hearing about how they hold up for you.
Been playing around with the front springs, and I found when flexing that the springs were bending around the over load.
So I pulled it out and drove around a bit, but now there wasnt enough support on the lowest leaf. It is pretty long, and the looked like it was starting to "w".
So I pulled 2 short leaves out of the stock pile that came from a Downey pack to hep support the bottom leaf. Seems to be working so far.
Meh, I kinda expected it. The front end still sits about an inch above the rear. Even though its a 2" lift spring, its still only has a weight rating for the rear and not meant to hold the weight of the engine. Although, there is another version of the spring thats made to hold a constant 500 lb load, those may work a bit better as a stand alone spring (or if you left the over loads in these?) . The main thing I was after was a good condition leaf pack to build off of, and they have some great clamps on them. I keep bending main leafs, because they are old and worn out.These are brand new and dont have the notch in the bottom of the 2nd leaf caused by the 3rd leaf rubbing on it for years. Thats where they have been bending. Still cheaper than stock new spring as donors. And the Downey leafs I added only have about 20k on them, so they still have a good amount of life in them. Should make for a decent pack.

I think there a pretty good replacement for RUFS, or at least a solid pack to build of off. I have a friend runing the 51" version on his sas runner, and he put the packs on with both overloads and says he really likes it like that.
Other news, finally got a car trailer. Normal trailer stuff. 16' 7k dual axle breaks. Needs a little rust repair, but will make a good trailer for years to come.
And to help with that this Hobart Handler 140 followed me home the other day.
