First Truck, DD/Adventure Mobile
As of July 2015 I purchased my first vehicle,
1994 Toyota Pickup
-Single Cab Short Box
-5 speed
-22re
-237,000 Miles or about 380,000 kms
-Manual Everything
-Imported from U.S. to Canada years ago
This is my first thread on any forum so I don't know about how to do that much
This is going to be my daily driver to school and back, but I'd like to give it some offloading upgrades for 4x4 trails, hunting and camping. This was the exact truck that I wanted to get- 22re, 4x4, 5 speed, except I wanted to get an Extra-Cab. I still think it was a good purchase though
Problems when Purchased
-A/C has hole in high pressure tube
-Speedo not working
-Cracked Windscreen
-E-brake siezed
-Spare Siezed
-Minor Rust around front fenders
-Seat needs replacing (sometime)
Features
-235/75/R15 BFG All-Terrains in good condition- I'd like to eventually upgrade to some 31x10.5's
-Soft Tonneau cover and White canopy
-Aftermarket pioneer radio
-Pretty much a base model truck, except for A/C and the coveted sr5 tach haha
Fixed Problems
-A/C fixed
-E-brake and Spare unsiezed
-Speedo fixed
Future Upgrades
-Bigger tires
-2-3" suspension lift
-UHF ham radio
-Homemade bumper, front and rear
-Rock sliders
-Offroad lights
-Airhorn(for fun)
-Onboard air
-Camping setup in bed
-Custom headliner
As I am a student this will probably be a slow build, but thanks for checking it out
Long live the Toyota!

That's a great first set of wheels! It will motivate you to be involved with your vehicle, vs newer vehicles that are all computer controlled and plastic covered. Bleh
Spend time reading here like it's the gospel, because it pretty much is. Go anywhere, even the Toyota dealer, and people won't recognize your truck as anything but OLD. the crew here has already done and redone anything you could ever want to do to it.
Good first things to do: block test, compression test. Know your engine's health! Fluid changes, drivetrain and chassis lube, fresh vacuum hoses too.
Another tip: get a pocketsized notepad for your glovebox. Record dates/mileage of anything you fix, fold up receipts and stick them in there too. Make it a little journal for your truck. You'll eventually be able to refer back to it and be very glad you had it.
Best of luck with it, enjoy!
