4runner's CEL came on a few days ago. Go to pull the codes, since it is pre-OBD2 so you have to jumper the diagnostic port. Found the EGR temp sensor unplugged(right next to port, plugged it back in, pulled code sure enough code 71(EGR fubar). Pull EFI fuse to reset, CEL out..i love free fixes, new sensor runs about $150.

i saw that you used 4' TG leafs up front and took a leaf out. i love your stance and that is my goal to sit where you are. with that being said, would you reccomend the 3'' lift? or will it start to sag vs the leaf pulled 4''.

I actually ended up putting the leafs back in. I just haven't had time to pull it again to see what happens. This springs were on my 81 for 8 years, to be honest I thought they would have been sitting lower.
Depending on what front spring hanger you use (i used a low profile hanger from Low Range Off Road) with 4" springs you could end up pretty high. To be honest it is up to you. I would like to buy brand new 3" springs
here is a pic of 85toyman's 94 (he did my SAS for me) he used a sky's front hanger and 3" trail-gear front springs to give you an idea. Hope it helps

after having a spring time flu I finally felt up to getting vertical and had some time so tackled replacing the master cylinder and brake booster
when you are short like me this thing from Harbor Freight comes in handy
the hitch mounted vice has been proving it's worth a lot lately. Bench bleeding the master cylinder went off with out any issues
When i pulled the old master cylinder there was quite a bit of corrosion inside the brake diaphragm it so I went ahead and replaced it too.
instead of doing the usual zip tying the LSPV rod up out of the way I went with a small bracket idea that 85toyman had mentioned works like a charm
with pretty much all new brake parts with the exception of the backing plates and hard lines the 4runner stops like a dime now.

swapped out the Trail-Gear shackles that were pretty close to hitting the front body mount with the truck sitting still
shackle angle was pretty crappy due to using this X-O Fab frame brace with integrated steering box mount, with it you are limited to how far forward you can push the front spring hanger as the steering box mounts in the stock location.
it will be interesting to see how the Sky's Delrin spacers treat the spring bushings, with the steel spacers provided by trail-gear the bushings don't have a steller service life.

For reference use: Oil Pan conversion and A340H info
yep, for anyone else that runs into this issue.
Left is T100 2wd pan, right is the 3vze 2wd pan
you can see the small dip here in the pan which is needed to clear the crossmember

and with the 3VZE pan on the 3.4L motor, the pickup will not clear the pan. So I had to take the 3VZE pickup and swap it over. But like you say the pickup hits the baffle, so needed to cut a hole in the 3.4L baffle, then you can access a bolt hole and secure it up there.
The second leg of the 3VZE pickup does not have a bolt hole on my 96 T100 3.4 to bolt up too, so I just chopped it off, seems fairly secure still so I think I will be fine.
You can see here with the baffle removed where the 3VZE pickup can bolt up, the Red square has a bolt hole, the yellow leg does not and needs to be removed.
Cut a hole in the 3.4L baffle with a cutoff wheel and now we can bolt up the 3vze pickup to the 3.4 block

It does. I just got done tracking down trans and tcase parts for my wife's 94 3.slow build. it's a curse and a blessing because the A340H trans and tcase have to stay together and there isn't any way to substantially upgrade things unless you swap them both out. I look at it as a way to keep me from giving the wife enough power to break stuff, but it's going to be boring for me to drive.

no idea why I double posted, probably because my latest home brew is ready to drink. My Toyota buddy is over and he said ditch it and toss a stick in it,
"the 340h sucks and will go buy buy at some point, it might as well be during the swap"
figure 14 years as a mechanic for Toyota dealerships his opinion was worth passing along.

It does. Time to do legal stuff - tire coverage
got pulled over saturday for my tires sticking out beyond the fenders and no mudflaps. Told the deputy I would get it fixed in the next few days, he said no problem.
Pulled the old mudflaps from the 81 off the shelf and looked at what I had to work with on the 4Runner. A couple of pre threaded holes...hmmm
looked at the luggage rack and a plan started to come together

Great re-purposing yet again dropzone. I like the easy grasp connectors, good idea. Nice touch with the LSVP rod bracket too. 
There's some kinda spring nasty going around here, too. Unlike you, 5 weeks of drowning in my own snot did not inspire me to do anything at all. At least it wasn't flu-bad. Hope you're back to tip-top.

On to Operation Keep the Law Happy part 2
Added some flexible rubber fender flares compliments of Amazon prime
Also pulled the steering wheel cover off and found some nastiness, found a good deal on the Wheelskins cover
Went to get gas and the gas door wouldn't open. Popped it open and found the lower hinge mount had popped lose, slapped some epoxy in there and clamped it, works like a charm ..for now
wiped up the excess, looks like crap but who cares on the gas door

I busted out my $64 Harbor Freight Booger Splatterer (aka flux core welder) and used electronic snot to mount some light tabs
I picked up these eBay 50w Light Cannon knock offs last year. Nice thing is you can use Vision X filters on them so spots can turn into floods with one set with out the $500+ price tag
